Associate- Data & Program Support/Data Analyst

The Mission: 
The vision of International Justice Mission (IJM) is to protect impoverished people from violent forces of injustice by working collaboratively with the government to secure their rescue and restoration.
The Need: 

The Associate - Data and Program support will help ensure that all IJM programs have high-quality monitoring in order to produce evidence of performance and impact. The successful candidate will be experienced in program design, data management, monitoring, and/or data quality assurance in the justice sector arena.

Key Result Areas:

  1. Effective use of data related tools and systems by the teams for programs.
  2. Availability of accurate and timely data information  for various program needs.
  3. Reporting and analyzing of ongoing program activities, trends and data.
Job Location: 
Mumbai
Responsibilities: 

Field Work and Operations:

  1. Track updates of the media metrics for the Mumbai Office
  2. Track updates of other data generated by teams
  3. Ensure that quality data collection process on the field by visiting and monitoring data entry by the team in the field.
  4. Participate in rescue operations as needed

 

Communication and Interpersonal:

  1. Ensure that key information is shared between teams as appropriate
  2. Initiate and facilitate process discussions with relevant departments to ensure efficient usage of data tools

Clerical Administration:

  1. Be the point of contact for all data, preparation and revision of  data tools and data systems for the Mumbai office
  2. Coordinate with all departments and collate data that they have recorded and collected from their respective external stakeholders.
  3. Assist the team to design data collection methods for capacity building sessions
  4. Ensure data security and back up of data is maintained periodically
  5. Ensure Quality Checks for all the data entered on CTMS on a monthly basis.

Research, Training and Development:

  1. Conduct trainings on tools and systems in order to equip the staff to use them
  2. Assist the teams to design Models of Successful Projects with appropriate data and context
  3. Assist teams with data analysis for external researches and projects

 

Strategy & Knowledge Development & Implementation:

  1. Have a clear understanding of data tools and systems to be used by the office
  2. Identify implementation gaps in business processes and propose solutions
  3. Share analysis of data gathered from capacity building sessions
  4. Help teams to strategize with the help of analyzed data to achieve project objectives

 

Documentation, Reporting & Analysis:

  1. Maintain accurate and updated records from data provided from teams so that it can be used for monthly reporting and analysis of program and external data
  2. Update monthly tracker of external stakeholder trainings conducted by the Mumbai Office
  3. Review and update Business Process Manuals for the tools and systems used
  4. Provide updates for monthly and quarterly reviews for the office
  5. Analyze internal and external data to provide input into Program Implementation
  6. Document and report information required for program analysis and M&E
  7. Design data frameworks to implement, monitor and evaluate projects.
  8. Provide data for monitoring frameworks for internal and external requirements

Policies and Procedures:

  1. Develop best practices of data entry as needed and regularly orient staff on it.

 

Carry out any other additional tasks and projects assigned by the supervisor.

Required Skills and Experience: 

Education & Experience:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in social sciences, international development, evaluation, research, program management or another related field;
  2. Minimum of 2 years of successful experience in program monitoring, data management– including any of:
    • Designing, managing, or monitoring a complex program.
    • Conducting data quality audits or quality assurance assessments.
    • Capturing, synthesizing, and analyzing qualitative and quantitative data.
    • Presenting program monitoring or quality assurance results effectively to stakeholders.
    • Training program staff on data management or monitoring issues.
    • Establishing an evaluation design.

 

Technical Competencies:

  1. Excellent Analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  2. Excellent Planning and Implementing skills.
  3. Proficiency with MS Office and accounting software such as Tally or QuickBooks and Research Soft-wares
  4. Fluency in oral and written communication in English & Hindi.
